Last wednesday we had a meeting at the Clinic of Innovation at Oslo University Hospital together with some great people from our digital storytelling network:
– Patientvoices: http://www.patientvoices.org.uk/about.htm
– Story Field
– Jazzmontør
– Inquiring relations
– Copenhagen Busines School and of course the host of the event
– The Clinic of Innovation.
We want to see, how we can use Digital Storytelling and other methods in improving and creating new innovative ideas within the healthcare system based upon personal stories.
“Storytelling is all about bringing data to life by stories; behind our system statistics, there is an individual with his or her story. How are those dimensions brought forward unless we activate our senses and emotions? Time has come to prepare sustainable health care with the patient as a lead singer.”
– Kari from The Clinic of Innovation
In the video is a short presentation of some of our ideas and bringing a new tool into the Digital Storytelling method we are looking into using Semantic Analysis to map and find potential ideas for innovation within the personal stories. This idea is build upon a tool called Tianamo.org and David Snowdens Sensemaking methods
This research and knowledge is based upon a research project from Copenhagen Business School, with Leif Bloch Rasmussen, Thea Bruun de Neergaard and Martina Sophia Bach and Janni Nielsen.
As our next event in this project, we are hosting a 1 day seminar about Digital Storytelling, Innovation in the healtcare system on 9th of June. The seminar is free and you can sign-up by sending an email to nikoline@genau.dk/digitalstorylab
